Oley Greene Noah Jr.

Oley Greene Noah Jr. age 77 of Marceline, Missouri died Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield. Oley was born at Marceline, Missouri on July 24, 1934 to Oley Greene and Zelma E. (Higginsbotham) Noah Sr. He married Martha Lou Williams on November 11, 1953 and she survives him of the home. Oley worked as a printer and bookbinder. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Marceline and a Marceline resident all his life. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Martha Noah of the home in Marceline, one son Richard Oley Noah and Diane, Moberly, one daughter Angela Beth Collins and John F., Brookfield, three sisters, Maxyne Wolf, Orrick, MO; Virginia Bailey, Kansas City, MO; and Mary Ann Still, Gilroy, CA; nine grandchildren, Vanessa Noah, Alisha and Daniel Sewell, Constance and Zach Aichele, Houston Oley Noah, Desiree and Ryan Pezley, Damon and Mary Collins, Derek Collins, Dalyn Collins, and Dexter Collins, and four great grandchildren, Gabrielle Sewell, Maxton Aichele, and Luke and Ella Pezley. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Anna Cady, Helen Kirby, and Bonnie Sharkey, and one brother Robert Noah. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with Rev. David Gouge officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 24 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home in Marceline. Pallbearers will be Damon, Derek, and Dexter Collins, Ryan Pezley, Daniel Sewell, Sol Lavers, and Houston Oley Noah. Honorary pallbearers will be Vanessa Noah, Desiree Pezley, Alisha Sewell, Dalyn Collins, Constance Aichele, and Mary Collins. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Bethany Building Fund or Pestka Cancer Fund and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, Missouri 64658.
